Methodology & Editorial Policy

Where the data comes from, how articles are produced, and what the models can actually do — including the figures that flatter us least.

Data sources

Prices, volumes and financial data come from a paid market data provider, not from scraping websites. Stock pages update in real time during market hours, and the static pages are rebuilt daily.

Where a figure is unavailable it is omitted rather than estimated. That sounds obvious and is not: a plausible-looking estimated financial number is more dangerous than a missing one, because a reader cannot tell the two apart.

How articles are produced

Daily stock articles are synthesised automatically from existing coverage under one hard rule: at least three independent outlets, or no article. If only one organisation covered an event, a "synthesis" is a rewrite of that one piece, and we pass on it.

Every article names its sources and links to them directly. These pieces are not written by a human author, and we do not attach an invented byline to suggest otherwise — the stated author is VAQO as an organisation.

Hebrew and English versions are written separately and are not machine translations of one another.

The models: what they know and where they are wrong

Two statistical models run inside your browser, with nothing sent to a server. The direction model was trained on 73,433 samples and reaches 54.7% accuracy over a 10-day horizon. The volatility model was trained on 119,920 samples and reaches 77.1% over the same horizon.

Stated plainly: 54.7% is barely better than a coin flip. That is why the product shows three separate measures — momentum, risk and opportunity — rather than one arrow announcing where a stock is headed. The volatility model is far more dependable, because predicting how much an asset moves is an easier problem than predicting which way.

Weights retrain automatically each week on current data, and the present figures are published on the model page — including when accuracy falls.

What we do not do

We give no buy or sell recommendations and are not investment advisers. Nothing here is advice tailored to your circumstances.

We take no payment for covering any security, and there is no relationship between a paid subscription and what is written about any instrument.
